Services and Pricing

What We Offer:

Cotton Landscape Designs offers on-site landscape design consultations to Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas. Whether you have just purchased a new home or need to make major renovations to your landscape, Cotton Landscape Design can provide you with the plan you need to take the next steps toward a flourishing, beautiful landscape that enhances your home and lives.

What to Expect:

Appointments occur on-site. We will take a walk around the property and I will glean any information or vision you have of the space. We will discuss your preferences and style, any plants you may like or hate. After I hear about your ideas, I will then let you know about mine. We will discuss these ideas and I will then begin on a sketch and complete the sketch prior to the end of the appointment (unless it is a larger area to design). I like to give a rough estimate of how long it will take to complete the bird’s eye view sketch once we have discussed the areas that need landscape design work.

Pricing:

$60 per hour of on-site landscape design consultation, 1 hour minimum

Additional charges will apply if travel time exceeds 30 minutes.

Availability:

Mainly weekends with some flexibility of weekday appointments.

What is Needed from You:

Land Plat Survey - This document usually comes with the closing documents of a home. It has a scale, a bird’s eye drawing of the house, driveway, and property line. Please provide prior to a landscape consultation appointment to ensure the best use of our time.

Prior to an appointment consider the following:

1.      What colors do you enjoy?

2.      What are your favorite plants? (If unsure of plant names, that is not a problem.)

3.      Are there any plants that you dislike?

4.      What are some activities that you hope will take place in your yard? For example: edible garden, butterfly garden, sitting, firepit, deck, patio, a place for reflection and solace, playground, swing, cut flowers

5.      Do you enjoy manicured and neat landscapes or more whimsical gardens?

6.      Would you like to incorporate any edible plants into the landscape?

7.      If you had a yard growing up, what was it like?
